Verchaix outings

Mary and I drove to Verchaix on 9 January 2015.  We spent over a week there together, going out each day for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.  Mary took the big step of shifting from classic ("diagonal") cross-country skiing to skating.  She returned to Saint-Germain-en-Laye on the 18th, while I stayed on for another 10 days.  I continued to snowshoe and added some downhill skiing.  Back in the Chalet after these outings, I enjoyed reading: Howe's "What Hath God Wrought: The Transformation of America, 1815-1848", plus GR5 topoguides (planning our big hike later this year).
